GUM PASTE PEONY

Objective: Students will learn the basics of working with gum paste such as tinting, cutting, veining, ruffling, imprinting, wiring, dusting and steaming.
Recommended Ages: Teen to Adult
Time : 9.00am – approx. 2.30pm depending on the pace of the class and drying time (includes cleaning up time)
Time Required: TWO 2-hour session
What to Bring :
- Ruler
- Toothpicks
- Scissors
- Aluminum foil
- Plastic wrap
- Food-safe gloves (optional)
- Damp cloth for clean up
- Plastic bag for clean up
- Large container to carry home flower pieces
Class Content Includes :
- The basics of working with gum paste
- How to wrap wire with floral tape
- How to vein, ruffle, and imprint to give petals and leaves a more lifelike look
- How to attach wire to petals and leaves
- Flower Assembly
- How to add color effects with dusting and steaming
Cost : R1050 This includes the use of class tools, include a cutter set, everything needed to complete your flower.
